It serves to emulsify some oils. It is successfully used in spinning, bobbin transfer, synthetic and wool fiber blending, and the making of kamgarn and streighgarn blending oil. It is not affected by hard waters. It is an anionic surface active substance, therefore, it is not affected by the anionic structure of the environment.
